2015 is a great year so far in terms of Android smartphones. There are already quite a bunch of models that managed to impress even the most demanding users and plenty more will be launched throughout the year. Out of all of the existing Android handhelds only 10 smartphones were picked due to their build quality, hardware specs, price and Android stability. Here are the top 10 best Android smartphones in 2016.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha

The Galaxy Alpha shares a lot of elements with the S5 but most of the similarities are limited to the external design of the device. It comes with an octa-core CPU and an Exynos chipset. The model uses a 32 GB internal storage and comes with 2 GB of RAM. Last but not least the body of the model is made of aluminum as Samsung decided to build a product that feels and looks premium.

Sony Xperia Z3

Sony continues its routine to update their flagship smartphones every 6 months. The Z3 was launched for some time but it remains relevant due to its build quality and hardware specs. It is a waterproof smartphone with 3GB of RAM and a 2.5 GHz quad core Krait CPU. The model has a 20 megapixel camera and a full HD 5.2 inch display. Build quality should not be neglected as Sony tweaked the visual appearance of the Z3.

Samsung Galaxy Note4 Edge

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge is an innovative smartphone that was mainly built to show what the manufacturer is capable of. The technology was presented several years ago and the Note 4 Edge is the first device to introduce it to the consumer market. It has a quad core Krait processor running at 2.7 GHz, 3GB of RAM and a generous 5.6 inch display with a Quad HD resolution.

Moto X 2nd Generation

The Moto X is the model that inspired Google to create the Nexus 6. To some it a Nexus phone that that was just released a bit earlier. It comes with a 2.5 GHz quad core Krait CPU paired with a Snapdragon 801 chipset. The display measures 5.2 inches and has a native full HD resolution with cornering Gorilla Glass 3 on top. Inside its pretty shell users will notice a 2300 mAh battery and a 13 megapixel sensor for the rear facing camera.

Google Nexus 6

There are a lot of good things that can be said about the Nexus 6. Google listened to the voice of the consumer and built a great looking device with a powerful 2.7 GHz quad core CPU and an Adreno 420 GPU that is capable of running even the most intense mobile 3D apps. The manufacturers went for 3 GB of RAM but they cut corners on the rear facing camera which has a modest 13 megapixel sensor. Some might complain about the fact that it shares design elements with Motorola smartphones but the build quality and visual aspect make it a great upgrade for 2015.

HTC One M8

The M8 is considered one of the best looking Android phones on the market. However the only thing that holds it down from getting a better rating is its hardware. The M8 comes with a 2.3 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and a 5 inch full HD display. Most models available today have higher clock CPUs. However it still performs excellent running Android 4.4.2 KitKat or 5.0 Lollipop.

LG G2

The G2 has been on the market for quite some time but very few other smartphones managed to match its build quality, specs and features. It has a 5.2 inch true HD-IPS display covered with cornering Gorilla Glass 2. Beneath its pretty shell the phone hides a 2.26 GHz Krait 400 CPU that is capable of running Android KitKat and Lollipop with absolutely zero lag. The OS has been optimized to work perfectly with the G2 hardware. The rear side hides a 13 megapixel camera while the front uses a much smaller 2.1 megapixel sensor.

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact

The Z3 Compact has the perfect size for a smartphone that was built to be used with one hand. Its 4.6 inch IPS LCD display is just right in terms of size. Beneath the hood the smartphone uses a 2.5 GHz quad core Krait CPU while the rear hides a 20 megapixel camera. The hardware specs of the phone are quite impressive. Also the design is quite appealing making it a convenient, good looking phone that runs Android without any problems and with zero bugs.

LG G3

The G3 is considered the best looking Android phone available on the market. It is also one of the most powerful ones due to its 2.5 GHz quad core CPU. There is almost nothing to complain about the phone. The screen is quite generous measuring 5.5 inches with a high pixel density and Gorilla Glass 3. There is only one thing that could be improved and that is the camera. It is a 13 megapixel sensor but surprisingly the picture quality is comparable with the 20 megapixel versions.
